What does the role generally require and include:
This role focuses on graphic design, marketing production, website management, digital advertising, social media content creation, photography, video editing and general marketing administration. You will work closely with our marketing manager to deliver all creative and digital output for our four garden centres.

Joyners Plants Ltd is a leading regional retailer and grower of garden plants and horticultural products at four large garden centre stores located at Plymouth, Newton Abbot, Exeter and Yeovil. We employ between 85 to 125 employees when at peak trading. Established since 1959 our company operates profit share schemes and bonus schemes by invitation for employee’s. The company plans to continue to expand and so we are recruiting for new full time positions.

Skills & Experience Required
- Graphic design experience
- Video editing and photography skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and advertising tools
- Excellent use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Good understanding of IT systems and software
- Great attention to detail and high levels of organisation
- Strong Excel skills including formulas, formatting and data analysis
- Good English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work within a team and manage time effectively
- Experience in marketing, graphic design and/or digital advertising
- Experience with WordPress (content updates and basic development)
Responsible For
- Designing roadside advertising signs, general store signage, and garden plant/dry goods Point of Sale (POS)
- Creating vehicle livery designs, brochures, till handout leaflets, and printed promotional materials
- Producing store layout maps, site expansion drawings, and visual planning documents
- Creating in‑store tannoy adverts, radio advertising content, and supporting seasonal advertising campaigns
- Delivering content for our 52‑week advertising campaign across multiple platforms
- Updating and managing website content
- Assisting with website development, layout improvements and media uploads
- Producing video content and photography for website and social media
- Managing social media posts, including free advertising and paid video adverts
- Creating and managing Google Advertising campaigns
- Using analytics tools for research, marketing insights and performance reporting
- Assisting the marketing manager with daily marketing tasks
- Producing spreadsheets, reports and data analysis
- Supporting content updates linked to our EPOS system
- Customer service via email enquiries
- General administrative duties within the head‑office team
- Holiday cover support for other office roles when required
Additional Requirements
- Monday to Friday role
- Occasional shop‑floor support during peak trading periods
- £16.00 to £18.00 per hour, 35–40 hours per week (exact hours to be agreed)
- Holiday allowance approx. 28 days (pro‑rata)
- Full on‑site training provided
